Better Bed - Better Sleep
When it comes to a good night's sleep, your bed - specifically your mattress - is one of your most important resources.
We have many different options to cater to all types of sleepers. Our mattresses are made of Inner-Spring, Latex Foam, and our Hybrids -
which combine the benefits of both InnerSpring and Latex together.
Mattress experts say that too often consumers believe that ultra-firm mattresses are good for them, but research on patients with back pain found this was not true and a more supple, comforting mattress may lead to better sleep.
When choosing a new mattress:
- Always lay on the potential new mattress the same way you sleep at home. (Ex: Side, back or stomach...).
Allow at least 15 minutes for your body to relax so you can feel the new surface.
- Pay attention to your back (from your neck down to your tail bone). You’re looking for your Natural Alignment Zone. Alignment means how the mattress holds your skeletal structure as you disperse your full weight on the bed. In time, one of two things will happen -
a.) You’ll feel your back muscles begin to tighten - meaning your back is bowing too much (too soft or too firm) and your muscles are reacting to protect the spine.
b.) You’ll feel your back muscles begin to loosen - meaning your back is being held in a more natural alignment - so your muscles naturally relax.
- Size Matters: Make sure that you (and your partner) have enough space to feel secure while sleeping. Cramped or tight spaces may inhibit your natural shifting and movement- interrupting your sleep cycle.
